Overview
Muslim Education Trust is a public charitable Trust founded by Ex IPS Dr. Akbar Ali Khan Alig to support Muslim students in their studies for higher education.
The ambition of the Trust is to produce every year 20,000 IAS IPS IFS IRS PCS Officers, Judges, Lawyers, Engineers, Doctors, C A’s, MBA’s, Journalists , Professors, Intellectuals, Political and Social Activists and other professionals.
The Muslim community of India today has, if not a couple of lakhs, thousands and thousands of highly capable students studying in Aligarh Muslim University, Jamia Millia Islamia and other government and private secular Universities and Institutions across the country. All that they need is proper career counselling and guidance and financial support wherever required. We are committed to produce 20,000 successful professionals every year in all fields from all higher educational Institutions across the country.

Know the Founder
Dr. Akbar Ali Khan Alig (1972-77, BA Hons, LLB Hons, Sir Syed Hall, Aftab Hall) Aligarh Muslim University, joined IPS at age 20 in his first attempt at UPSC examination in 1977. During training as an IPS probationer he was awarded Revolver Rifle Shooting Championship Trophy at National Police Academy Hyderabad by the Honorable Prime Minister of India and Horse Riding Championship Trophy at National Academy of Administration Mussoorie by the Honorable Home Minister of India. In his career spanning over 35 years Dr Khan held various assignments throughout the country. His toughest posting was as SSP and DIGP in Kashmir in early nineties where he bravely fought militancy. His most challenging assignment was as Officer on Special Duty to the Honorable Union Minister of State for Home, Internal Security, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi.
In that capacity he assisted the Honorable Minister of the Government of India in controlling guiding and supervising the Police Administration of the whole country, maintenance of Law and Order and prevention investigation and detection of crime throughout the country. In recognition of his commendable service to the country Dr Khan has been awarded Police Medal for Meritorious Service and Police Special Duty Medal by His Excellency The President of India. Dr Khan is also MA History, LLB Gold Medalist and PhD.
